2018 Cotton Season
Sunday 28th January 2018
Aussie cotton growers are producing the highest yielding and finest quality cottons in the world. And they’re doing it with less water, less chemicals and healthier soils than ever before.
In the 2017-18 season, around 1000 growers planted 452,000 hectares of cotton across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. More then 95% of the 2018 cotton crop planted was Monsanto’s Bollgard 3 varieties. Farmers in the Macquarie Valley planted 37,431 hectares of cotton - which could be turned into over 80 millions pairs of jeans!
