We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Manager responsible for the operational excellence, growth, and short and long term revenue targets of our Canola business across the east coast (VIC, NSW).

LOCATION:         Melbourne VIC or Southern NSW

EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, Permanent

 

We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Manager responsible for the operational excellence, growth, and short and long term revenue targets of our Canola business across the east coast (VIC, NSW).

You will be accountable in areas such as demand creation, territory planning, channel management, and product development and stewardship to maximise the value of Monsanto’s canola products.

Specifically, this will see you;

  • Organize and establish appropriate field activities to promote Monsanto products through commercial demo plots, grower field days, grower meetings
  • Develop and establish field/grower promotions within the territory
  • Drive the promotion and launch of new products in the territory
  • Maintain timely and accurate forecasting based on environmental outlooks, market information, product positioning and competitive knowledge
  • Proactively identify, create and implement plans to capture opportunities to expand the business in the Region
  • Assess & manage the ongoing performance of the distribution channel
  • Provide market information and market intelligence on an ongoing basis including market size, product planting trend, market segmentation, competitor information etc.
  • Provide communication, training and support to distribution on product information (including value), pricing and trading terms

To be successful you will have;

  • Previous demonstrated technical sales experience with proven success in the agricultural industry, preferable within the canola crop industry
  • Technical canola/broadacre agronomic expertise
  • Relevant relationships across whole territory and credibility within the Canola industry
  • Proven track record of previous commercial success in launching products, negotiating skills and managing a complex business through distribution networks
  • Excellent communication, business acumen and the ability to build strong networks and relationships
